Positive: The view, facilities and staff were lovely and it was good value for money

Negative: I didnt like how aggressive the hotel was about sending a deposit. Its very difficult for an international visitor to send an international money wire. Luckily I had a local friend who could send it for me. The hotel took 5 days to confirm the deposit was received, which was annoying, even though we had immediate confirmation from the bank that it was sent. I was also surprised that we couldn't pay for the rest to my credit card through booking.com. Also, the lodge advertised a barbecue, but its basically a concrete slab and we had to go buy charcoal and everything and still couldn't start a fire. I messaged Manuel, the hotel staff to ask for assistance and he never replied. A great idea would be to set up a barbecue kit for guests, even for a fee. We wasted so much food as we assumed we could barbecue our dinners. Another great idea for an ecolodge would be to provide drinking water stations and reusable glass bottles. We had to keep going out to stores to buy water.
